Gazman's Retro Repairs is pleased to welcome you to our website.
We are a group of hobbyists that specialize in recapping, restoring, repairing, and modifying retro computers and consoles as well as recapping, restoring, repairing, and modifying these devices. Milton Keynes is the location where we are based.
As well as working on retro computers and consoles, we also work on other types of electronics.

Recapping
Is your computer or console in need of a recap? Rebuild? Or repair?
Dried out, bulging or leaky capacitors?
We can replace the old worn out capacitors on your system board. While this is not guaranteed to be a magic fix, it may fix the most common problems.
Most common problems include; distorted audio, not powering on, slow to power on, screen issues on handheld systems, residue on PCB, damaged PCB (please see repairs) etc.
All of our recaps are done with high quality capacitors. We can also recap most capacitors with polymer capacitors.
Recapping will ensure that your device will continue to operate for many more years to come.
We have recapped many game consoles even handheld ones. Our work is not limited to consoles, we have even recapped a pair of Rokit studion monitor speakers, fixing a no audio issue.
Repairs
If your PCB is suffering damage from a leaked capacitor or battery, we can fix it!
Capacitors and batteries are the most common cause of damage to older electronics. They cause corrosion to the copper traces and pads that make up the PCB.
If one of these tiny copper pads or traces becomes broken or damaged, this is enough to cause the circuit to become unstable or even stop working completely!
We can fix the breaks in the tracks and pads using either copper wires as a bridge over the break or installing complete jumper wires, from one point to another. This repair method is used to fix your damaged PCB.
We have been successful in repairing not only consoles but also a seat control module from the Range Rover Classic LSE, saving their owners hundreds. There are some circumstances where the PCB might be unable to be repaired (excessive damage or corrosion), but we will provide a free estimate and assess if we will be able to repair your PCB. Modifications
We know your retro console is a work of art. And we also know it's not always easy to get it working just the way you want, or even at all. That's why we're here for you!
We're happy to make any modifications to your old console that you need, whether that's getting it working again, making sure it continues to function in the future, or just making sure that it looks its best.
We can make repairs and adjustments to your system so that it will continue to work as long as possible, or even provide advice on how best to keep it running.
